I saw this Beetle driving along but missed taking a photo of it. I was really glad to find it parked a little while later. It is in pretty good condition, though there are several rust spots that seem to have been partially repaired. It has the Karmann logo affixed to the passenger side. According to Wikipedia, Karmann is the independent contractor who made many of the Bugs for Volkswagen. You can read the article here.

Orange Classic Bug

Orange is one my favorite colors so I was excited when I found this Beetle. It has some repairs. It reminds me of working on my Dad's old fiat.

Purple Classic Bug with Good Paint Job

This is a picture of a classic V W Bug with a nice purple paint job. In the Foreground is the 101 Market St. Apartments and to the side the Ralphs Parking structure.

This is a purple Classic Beetle with a really good paint job.  You can see the trees reflected in its hood.  It was found between Market and G Streets on 2nd Avenue in San Diego CA 92101.  It is accross from Ralph's.

Painted VW Beatle at New Children's Museum

This is a classic Volkswagen Beetle covered with thick layers of finger paint. The most dominant color is purple but there are also reds, yellow and blues. The letters AD are carved in the paint that covers windshield.

This Vokswagen Beetle is a an instalation at The New Childrens' Museum in San Diego.   Every day the bug is covered with thick layers of finger paints.

Pretty Painted Blue Volkswagen Beetle

I have been waiting for some time to find the perfect bug for the inaugeral entry of this blog. I was so glad to find this fine specimen. It seems to fairly scream the '60s. It was photographed outside Whiskey Girl tavern. In the background you can also see the neon cityscape in the window of McMillan Reality and the intersection of Fifth and Market.
