Painted VW Beatle at New Children's Museum

This is a classic Volkswagen Beetle covered with thick layers of finger paint. The most dominant color is purple but there are also reds, yellow and blues. The letters AD are carved in the paint that covers windshield.

This Vokswagen Beetle is a an instalation at The New Childrens' Museum in San Diego.   Every day the bug is covered with thick layers of finger paints.

Pretty Painted Blue Volkswagen Beetle

I have been waiting for some time to find the perfect bug for the inaugeral entry of this blog. I was so glad to find this fine specimen. It seems to fairly scream the '60s. It was photographed outside Whiskey Girl tavern. In the background you can also see the neon cityscape in the window of McMillan Reality and the intersection of Fifth and Market.
